About the roman numbers
There exist seven numbers in the roman system created around Jesus’ time, when the Roman empire was flourshing. So two single numbers had been added a zero to it and then two zeros to add up more value, but then there is thousand, and going back millenials we can bet that having plenty of something was not beyond a thousand, the numbers though had to come from an alphabet

The first number one looks liek a number 1 and is of course the first

The second number of the base is 5. So the question remains why V was selected to represent the number 5, but it is the second base before adding zero to make the number 50
